Operation: Ditch the Desks!
Our kiddos need room to roam and we are on a mission to "Ditch the Desks"! We are classroom co-teachers who are passionate about serving the needs of all of our students utilizing methods that are based on sound research. We serve a diverse community of first and second graders including ESL and special needs populations.
Our sweet kiddos need alternative seating to supply a flexible learning environment for their busy bodies. Our little ones need the freedom to work wherever they choose. Let's face it, we all learn differently, and different spaces uniquely suit us. Our students deserve the chance to learn in a space that is conducive to their learning styles. Research shows that in classrooms without desks, students grow in decision making skills, have increased collaborative opportunities with their peers, and experience growth in their creative thinking capacities.
