I have the best job! Being an SLP is rewarding and fun! I teach at a public elementary school in South Carolina. I work with students who exhibit disabilities in the areas of articulation, fluency, expressive/receptive language skills as well as social communication skills. These students receive therapy services because their speech and language deficits negatively impact academic progress as well as communication and oral participation with teachers and peers.
