Our school is a small public elementary school in an urban area, with many families who are struggling to make ends meet. We have a goal of providing academic support and rigor while caring for the whole student. Many of our students have experienced trauma and societal hardships yet an incredible amount of success. Our school functions as an academically challenging, positive behavior, and trauma-informed school aiming to assist our students in helping them grow. Our students are the most resilient, hard-working and determined student population. Their perseverance, compassion, and desire to learn inspires our school staff daily. My goal is to create a safe, welcome, and warm environment where my students can continue to grow, learn, feel loved, and become productive members of our community.
