My students live in a large urban community and all of them live below the poverty line. This year my classroom contains over 30 students who are on varying levels of language proficiency. 5 of my students have never attended a school before and do not speak any English. Another large group of my students have an IEP and require extra services for their reading, math, and behavior supports.
