Our class uses technology on a daily basis. We have Chromebooks and computers that we use across every subject. Because of this, we listen to audio for different purposes. Our current headphones are low cost and sometimes stop working. Some students are fortunate enough to be able to purchase higher quality headphones, but the majority of my students do not have the ability to do so. Even when our headphones are performing properly, my students are still learning on ignoring situations and others around them.
The headphones and privacy dividers would provide students with the capability to focus on their tasks rather than on the many distractions that can take place in the classroom. If we have the right tools, I can better teach my students to focus on the task at hand. In turn, they will have better opportunities to reach their potential. Technology is an advantage to my students in connecting them to resources that they do not have in their everyday lives at home.
