My students are from a low income rural area of town. Many of then do not have a lot of reading materials at home and I am not given money to buy books. I want to do novel studies to enrich their learning and to give them books to have at home, so that they may start their own home library. These books may be passed down to their younger siblings. If I can make a literature rich environment at school and home then I will feel that I have made a difference in their lives.
