In today's digital world, students need STEM and coding experiences more than ever! BeeBots are hand-held robots that provide students with tactile coding experiences. Students use the arrow buttons to create a path (or coding sequence) for the BeeBot to travel.
Young children are capable of learning new technologies but often need a foundation built of tactile experiences first. BeeBots provide that foundation of hands-on experience AND create a bridge for introducing more advanced forms of coding. I want to use BeeBots to introduce my students to basic coding skills such as understanding cause-effect, giving commands and executing coding sequences. These essential programming skills will help them in later grades and future careers.
