A set of iPads will allow each student to turn his/her cannots into cans. With the set of iPads, students will be able to complete their reading and math individualized interventions daily. When iPads are used for reading, students are able to work on fluency, phonics skills, and comprehension. When working on math skills students are able to work on fluency of addition, subtract, multiplication and division equations.
Each individualized intervention will allow students to have daily practice of their skills of struggle. When students are completing the reading interventions they will be able to work on phonics skills, fluency, and comprehension. When completing the math intervention, students will be on their fact fluency, in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Each skill worked are in reading and math are the necessary skills my students need to be able to build upon in later academic years.
Having an inclusive classroom with students who range from a kindergarten level to a third-grade level, these iPads would allow students to be engaged while practicing reading and math skills. The use of iPads gives students the opportunity to use and discover a form of technology, which they will see evolve in their futures.
