I work in a special education preschool classroom where I service typical and differently abled students. I believe this to be a wonderful opportunity for all students involved.
Our curriculum focuses on play based learning. This means that students have access to hands on materials, objects, people, events and ideas. Students develop their skills and ideas through interacting with their environment and the people around them. During our preschool day children make choices, develop plans, and experiment with their ideas. Adults in my classroom expand students thinking by providing new materials, asking questions and playing with children.
