In 5th grade, students learn about symmetry, geometry, volume, 3-dimensional art, and building skills. Research shows that creativity and hands-on experiences help students to focus and figure out concepts for themselves.
We will be using the paint, scissors, glue, markers, paper, and colored pencils to design and build models of welcome centers for national parks. Another project the supplies will be used for is building models of tiny houses. These houses will allow the students to be creative in designing all the needs of a house in a small space as well as use math skills such as volume and area.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
