These supplies will continue to enhance the engaging classroom that I strive to create. My classroom is a place that my students really enjoy. I engage them with interactive questions, they complete work there, and they think independently! All of these materials have been chosen with my students in mind-I have asked them what type of activities they would enjoy and what would make learning more exciting. Students will be able to answer questions on individual dry erase boards and markers, which will help them think independently and respond without pressure from students calling out answers. Highlighters and color pencils will help them break down texts and essay prompts, buzzers will allow me to create competitive review games, and clipboards will give students a solid writing surface for when we take learning on the road. The storage items will help me organize my classroom to provide a distraction free learning environment.
With these new individual dry erase answer boards and buzzers, my students will be able to choose from a variety of materials that will allow them to engage in daily activities.
They will also be able to store materials, gain skills for interacting with maps, add competition to discussion, and participate in activities that interest them. The best way to increase engagement is to add variety to daily activities and provide hands on opportunities. These materials will continue to help my students grow stronger in their learning. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in history, and this project will only help enrich their experiences within the classroom.
