Our school services one of the poorest neighborhoods in Baltimore. Our students come to us deficient in reading and math. Despite the socio-economics of our children’s families and their deficiencies, we are moving student achievement forward. We would not be able to do this without resources like those we are able to get through Donor’s Choose. Your donations make it possible for students in my class to have books to read during the literacy period. Current, teen literature that they enjoy reading is a must. They are hungry to learn and grow and without high interest materials, it is nearly impossible to feed their thirst for learning.
