Many learn visually, while others learn orally. Still others learn by moving around. My goal as a teacher is to provide each child with the opportunities and materials to learn through their own unique learning style in order to instill a love for learning. Those opportunities stem from the materials I have available to help each child succeed!
My students will use these headphones during times that require them to receive online instruction or during center time. We need these because, of course, certain pieces of technology make noise and can become very distracting. They use the laptops and a few desktop computers on lab day for ELA & Math. We also have a technology center in the classroom and students are on educational sites such as ixl, star fall, abcya, and splash math. These headphones will improve my classroom environment and our small group learning communities.
Our school uses the I-ready online instruction and students take a diagnostic 3 times a year in addition to their weekly online individualized instruction. They will also help the other students in the room that are not using technology at the time be able to concentrate on the task that they are working on.
