Our High School has 850 students, with 30-40% receiving free/reduced lunch. About half of the kids will enter the work force when they graduate. Many have unique family units, where the kids do not learn how to garden and to raise their own food. These kids need more fresh vegetables in their diets. There are also many agriculture, greenhouse and landscaping job opportunities for the students in our area. This project would help the kids learn skills that will help them at home and a career.
