Our library has just reopened after 10 years of being without a librarian. The collection needs a lot of updating, led by the reading habits of my students as well as our curriculum here at King College Prep. I strive for a diverse and updated collection. I'm also creating an environment that is welcoming and inviting to students for socializing and studying during their lunch and after school each day. KCP is a selective enrollment high school located in the historic Kenwood neighborhood in Chicago. 97% of our students are Black.

About my class
