I am a kindergarten teacher at a school where free and reduced breakfast and lunch is offered. We are not Title 1; therefore, any "extras" for the classroom must come from the teacher's salary. We are also a school of choice which means we get a large range of socioeconomic students coming from various neighborhoods with some living in condensed housing conditions.
