My students are brilliant kids who have, unfortunately, spent much of their educational experience preparing for tests instead of being challenged to reach their full potential. These are students who have done most things right, have worked hard, have ASKED for challenges, and who are excited about gaining a deep understanding of the world around them. These are kids who need nonstandard math problems that take more than a few minutes to solve in order to be challenged.
