My students inspire me ever day. They are brilliant, caring, hilarious and involved. I teach International Baccalaureate (IB) European History and Advanced Placement European History, and these kids work their tails off in my class. They do it while being among the most involved students at my school.
My classroom sometimes looks like the United Nations, which I love. They come from diverse ethnic, racial, and economic backgrounds; they're learning about different countries, and in my class, they learn to respect each other and other cultures. They learn to challenge assumptions, think critically, embrace creativity, push themselves, and open their minds to new ideas. Their compassion, intelligence and creativity gives me hope for our future.
