I am excited about offering flexible seating options for my students! Flexible seating options such as wobble chairs and soft seats will provide my students opportunities to choose how they learn best. There are high expectations for third grade students, and my students rise to meet those expectations, yet we all are comfortable in different work spaces. By allowing students to choose a comfortable work space in the classroom, they will be able to worry less on getting comfortable and more about their learning.
Additionally, students will be able to gain independence and find ownership in their choice. Flexible seating can be utilized throughout the day, but specifically will be offered during reading time, independent math work, and small group project work. I fully believe that flexible seating will allow my students to focus better and achieve more.
