One of the many things I love about being an EC teacher is the uniqueness of each of my students. Each of them has a gift and an uncanny ability to shed light on the most precious aspects of life. They bring joy and laughter to my life every single day. I am fortunate enough to serve children of all grade levels and of various abilities.
Our school has an extremely prevalent poverty rate, which affords my special students with unique obstacles for their academic and social development. This makes providing the right academic structure imperative to their success. Teachers at our school go beyond the call of duty to ensure the success and happiness of our kids everyday.
"If kids come to us from strong, healthy functioning families, it makes our job easier. If they do not come to us from strong, healthy, functioning families, it makes our job more important."
