Imagine a class of 30 third graders working all around the room, some on an energizing ball chair and others on a comfy couch or rocking chair. Some get clipboards and sit on the floor, others move to larger tables, and several simply stand leaning over their small desks. Although they each have their own desks, they are quick to follow the expectation that they need to find a place to work/learn where they will be the most successful.
My students love that they are able to choose their own personalized place to learn. They are a uniquely spirited group of third graders who love to learn, laugh, and share their creative ideas. Most importantly they lookout for each other and work amazingly well as a team.
Our school motto is S.P.A.R.K., which stands for Safe, Positive, Appropriate, Responsible and Kind. My kids exemplify what is is to be SPARKadellic and make me very proud to say that they are 'MY Class'.
