My students will be using these books to spark discussions in math, science, and social studies about different projects of social change and justice. These books will also be used to inspire students interest in stem careers by giving them role models who look like them and have similar backgrounds. I will use these books weekly as read aloud to begin discussions with students in hybrid learning models to help them connect with the content we are teaching in class but also to connect with each other. These books will allow them to imagine themselves in new roles and will begin to break down barriers. The books will also be available in our classroom library for students to read freely at anytime.
