I work in a Title One school with bright and hard working students. We serve at-risk students as well as a large population of English Language Learners. They are some of the most creative and resilient students that I have had the pleasure to teach. Many of the students in my school are struggling readers. They work each day to improve their skills but sometimes reading can be seen as just that...work. Books can become chores unless we search for creative ways to make the stories come to life.
