I currently teach at an urban public school in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, with budget cuts both state-wide and the district-wide it is sometimes impossible to get even every day supplies. As an educator, it is usually up to me to supply the things that my students need which can add up pretty quick.
Student engagement is one of my top priorities and in order to keep my students interested in literacy, I need to make sure my classroom is a place where my students feel welcomed, safe and ready to learn.
