My students need to be able to expand their world and have adventures without leaving the classroom. These children need to know about their own families and their backgrounds. It will help these children to be able to understand the cultural differences among their peers and allow them to understand their own culture. I want to allow for lots of questions and discussions among the students in the classroom, and to spark conversations about although we are different, we can still be a family and love each other as such. These kids make it worthwhile to be a teacher today.
