My students attend an urban high school that shows improvement with each coming year. Our high school is located in North Carolina and is largely populated by black and Hispanic students. We are a high needs school, serving a low income population. I have observed that as the school get recognized for the changes and strides it is making, the students have begun to raise the standards and expectations for themselves.
