My school is a Title 1 school. This means that most of our students come from low socio-economic environments and face many challenges. We have between 1200 and 1300 students enrolled each year, with about 90% on free or reduced lunch. About 65% of the students are considered LEP (limited English proficient), and at last count our students spoke 13 different languages. Many of my students also face challenges due to their backgrounds and home lives. These include dyslexia, learning disabilities, autism, ADD, and ADHD. Regardless of the difficulties the students face, I am committed to helping each student learn to the best of their ability!
