My students need a lot of repetition and practice. We will use these alphabet teaching tubs to review one letter every morning. We learn the letter name, how to write it, and what sound that letter makes. We talk about every item inside the tub and encourage discussion about the item using our five senses to describe it. As we are naming the items inside the tub, we also write the word and count how many syllables in each word. I also encourage my students to think of a different word that begins with the letter sound we are reviewing.
