I plan on reading these books to promote classroom conversations based on social and emotional themes. Students will be invited to share their thoughts and ideas based on their own personal experiences. I would like to focus on one book a week so that our conversations can be in-depth and so that my students have time to process and formulate ideas about each topic. The titles of books focus on some of the following themes of social and emotional wellbeing. This includes self-love, emotional awareness, self-awareness, how to calm ourselves, how to identify and share about our feelings. All of these topics are important lifelong skills that need to be fostered at a young age.
