Hello there! My name is Amanda Calzada and I am a proud teacher at Lazaro Cardenas Elementary School in the City of Chicago Public Schools. Our school now serves students in grades Pre-K to 8th grade in the heart of the historic Little Village neighborhood. Our student population consists of 95% low income students and 98% of our student population is Hispanic. My current role is as the English Language Program Teacher for grades Pre-K to 8th. I have the honor of working with our English Language Learners (ELLs) to ensure they get the best bilingual education possible. With one of the largest bilingual programs in the district, I work hard to ensure our students and teachers have all the resources they need to learn and strengthen their English Language acquisition. Thank you for being part of the Ðǿմ«Ã½ community. Without you, none of this would be possible!
