STEM can occur all over the classroom not just in the science center using the STEM Bundle - K-Gr. 1, Don’t Let the Bugs Fall! Game, Playstix sets, and Slot-Together Snowflakes. STEM gives students the opportunity to be creative, problem solve, develop math concepts, develop eye hand coordination, develop fine motor (if the materials are small), and develop inquiry skills. "Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve." - Roger Lewin In my classroom, I want utilize the STEM Bundle as part my main focus this year for students to learn to problem solve, collaborate, and think critically. The bundle will give us the opportunity to touch on all of these skills in all content areas. Because when students are building, they are engineers-planning, designing, and creating amazing things!
