Our school is hidden in a small, rural community. Everyone here is like family. The school is also the heart of the community and all around are deeply invested in it. My students often speak of family, church, and playing ball. We are also surrounded by farms, but most of the parents work outside of the area. My class considers themselves family. They are concerned, caring and work hard to please themselves, their families, and their teacher. One of the great things about our school is the small class sizes. Most classes contain less than 20 students. My class contains 12. This allows me the opportunity to give more to my students. I can give more individual attention, group sizes are smaller, and I am able to plan activities that reach every type of learner.
