Approximately 90% of students identify as Hispanic or Latino, and over 36% are classified as English Language Learners. A significant majority—over 90%—qualify for free or reduced-price meals, reflecting the economic challenges that many families face. Despite these difficulties, students are eager to grow academically and show a strong enthusiasm for learning. Additionally, my students are curious and expressive; my classrooms are vibrant with questions, discussions, and projects as they explore new concepts. Outside the school, they demonstrate resilience and a sense of community. Many are the first in their families to pursue academic pathways beyond elementary school.
