The Pre-K students at our school are four and five year old explorers who take an eager and energetic approach to learning every school day. I teach 20 culturally diverse, beautiful children in my urban MN classroom. About 97% of the children in our school live in poverty, and more than half are learning English as their second language. The families of my students value the education their children receive but most are unable to provide the support needed for materials and school supplies. My goal is to create an environment that engages ALL students. I strive to provide them with opportunities and materials that fit their needs and that they feel connected to. I am always looking to update materials to represent the students in my class.
