The new normal is new every day. I want to give my students the joy of learning in this distance learning model. First graders need a lot of hands on learning. They need more than a computer screen.
Creating something of their own willl give them the confidence, curiosity and enjoyment to keep showing up every day to see what is next! I want my students to know that school is enjoyable and their success is important.
I want them to be able to see and touch and have something tangible that they can feel a sense of pride in accomplishing. As the year progresses, I want them to think of another student in the class that they will ultimately gift their stone to.
