Many students hate going to school and can not wait to leave the classroom or building. This project allows my students to engage with a lesson by moving, doing, and puzzling out clues.
This project allows teachers to build an escape room learning scenario where students get to physically break into objects using locks, clues, and passwords that relate to what they are learning.
I want to use these supplies to create my own escape room in my World History classroom. I want to use my curriculum to create an escape room for review so that two teams of students can use their year long knowledge to "escape" and win the game! I think these physical learning lessons will allow students who normally don't engage in my class to feel some of the excitement of puzzling out history.
I will be sharing these supplies with 2 other teachers, so a donation to this project will help at minimum all of the World History II teachers in our building, as well as the rest of our department.
