I teach a wonderful group of 26 second graders. They are between the ages of 7 and 9 years old. Out of my 26 students, 21 are second language learners. Two of them are Special Ed. We are in a school where 100% of our children get free lunch. Most of them are economically disadvantaged, and lack the means to keep up with the latest technology. Some of them don't even have access to a computer at home. In our classroom, we have one computer that is not very reliable. These group of students benefit mainly from kinesthetic and visual activities, which can easily be achieved through the use of the tablet and it's apps.
