I'm a 4th grade teacher in the heart of central California. I work with students who have a variety of needs from reading significantly below grade level to excelling at reading strategies. Some can't subtract, while others can multiply fractions. With such diversity in my classroom, I try to keep their interest with various teaching strategies to reach each student. Engagement is key! I've been teaching since 2008, and I wouldn't change a thing. I love this career. It's my calling. :)
