It is my hope to add a library of titles that will serve as a springboard for larger conversations to expand the worldview of my students and prepare them for living in a diverse world. As a population with almost no diversity, I would like to provide my students with books that will help them to see through the eyes of others.
It is my hope that reading stories with rich characters from diverse backgrounds will open the minds of my students and help them to navigate a diverse world as responsible citizens with compassion. I believe this will improve the lives of all my students and the people they come into contact with.
