My students deserve to read engaging material. They deserve to experience what its like to read about people with similar situations to theirs and to learn how they were able to rise above and overcome hardship. I want my students to know what it's like to fall asleep reading a good book. I want them to see the value in reading and to appreciate what can be learned from being a good reader. Donations to this project will open up doors that are traditionally closed to my students due to budget restrictions within our socioeconomically disadvantaged area of the lowcountry.
