My students are elementary aged English Language Learners. They have come to the United States from all around the world and speak languages such as Amharic, Arabic, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, Farsi and Telugu. I currently teach ELD in grades 1-6 with most of my day spent instructing 5th and 6th graders. As diverse as my students are, they all have a common goal, to become proficient in English.
