EXCITEMENT and ENGAGEMENT while learning is my number one goal as a kindergarten teacher. Keeping students excited about learning, and engaged in learning is important for the success of my students. My students are students of an electronic and 'plugged in' generation, yet many come from backgrounds in which their access to electronic devices is limited. Our school is located in an area of high diversity and the majority of my students come from lower income families, with many life obstacles that they have already overcome at such a young age. We have a 57% free & reduce lunch rate, students of many different languages, and academic abilities
