As a high school construction and carpentry teacher, my students trade traditional textbooks for toolbelts and learn by doing. In my classroom, we build more than just projects - we build confidence, skills, and strong work ethics.
From using power tools safely to reading blueprints and working as a team, my students gain hands-on experience that prepares them for real careers in the skilled trades.
Many of our projects serve the local community, giving students a sense of purpose and pride in their work. Whether they go straight into the workforce, pursue further training, or simply gain practical life skills, every student leaves my program with something valuable in their toolbox - both literally and figuratively.
