My school is a title 1 school and the students in it are a creative bunch of students who want more than anything to make their parents and myself proud. Many of the students do not have an abundance of books at home to work on their reading skills. In addition, many of these students live in a one parent home or with grandparents who may not have the time and resources to help their child with reading as much as they would like. Even with these things working against them, my children are using their time and books at school wisely to become the best reader they can be.
