I want to create an environment that supports my students’ diverse learning needs while also providing a safe, comfortable, and fun learning environment. Because a majority of my students have autism, they often move and wiggle around. This helps them to stay focused as they learn. I have found a variety of different flexible seating options that will help to support my students’ individual needs and provide them with options other than the standard table and chair. These options include: balance ball seats. wobble cushions, wobble stools, bean bag seat, and floor seats. This variety in seating options will allow me to create many different learning areas around the classroom. The ability of choice in the environment that my students can work will create a world of difference for them. Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom and helping my students succeed in a comfortable and appropriate environment!
