Located in Arizona very close to the Mexico border, the majority of my students come from a county with a population of English language learners, high poverty and high unemployment. Due to the high amounts of poverty in our district, our school is 100% free lunch via Title 1 funds. These students have strong desire to learn and will go the extra mile and be involved in sports and clubs after school. These students have limited access to technology at home. They may not have a great support system outside of school. They look towards and depend on their teachers for encouragement and extra support that they do not receive at home.
