My students are an energetic group of kindergarten students that are eager to learn. They enjoy activity based learning and are very curious about the world around them. The wheels churn in each students' mind as they become more excited about education and develop as students!
I have a class of 18 students - 9 girls and 9 boys. We have a diverse group of students, which includes a variety of interests. However, one interest among all students is reading, and all students are eager to learn how to read or strengthen their reading skills. We read many different books in the classroom, and the children thoroughly enjoy listening to stories read aloud to them.
Often times students want to read a book by themselves right after it is read aloud to them - whether in the classroom or the library. Our library is an important resource to develop a love for reading, but the shelves are outdated. Therefore, students need to have books readily available in my classroom to fuel their passion.
