Many of my students come to school each day without having a good breakfast and lack many life experiences. Luckily they are given breakfast at school, but it is my job to help them discover new things to bring about those life experiences. As a result not having these opportunities some students lack the language and phonemic awareness needed to write. In 4th grade learning to write an essay can be very frustrating for these students.
