I am a 5th-8th grade reading interventionist and literacy coach in Seattle. Building an independent reading life is a cornerstone of our curriculum, and in order to cultivate a love of reading, kids need to have easy access to texts as diverse as they are. The vast majority of my students tell me that they love reading most when they have a "good book" in their hands, so I do everything I can to help them easily access books that interest them.
