Thank you for your interest in our projects and our students. They are bilingual learners who have dedicated their education to ensuring that our native language of Hawai'i lives on for generations to come. Most of them have been in the Hawaiian Language Immersion program since preschool and are now embarking on their high school careers. They have also been impacted by the global pandemic and all of the compounded challenges of covid-19. They have shown much resilience in these times and we look forward to recovering, healing, and reconnecting to all the joys of being young adults. I often remind them to savor their youth and revel in all its fun, hope, and promise. They are truly special for all the ways that they navigate life with their insightful beliefs and cultural values. They are eager to learn, to understand, to care for and to uphold all the treasures of their culturally rich education. E ola kākou!
